Stocked with a seasonal selection of reasonably priced herbaceous perennials, grown on site, along with helpful advice and pots of inspiration for the garden – visitors rarely leave empty-handed!
Dr. Paul Bygrave, the Nursery Manager propagates and grows plants from the garden to sell in the nursery. It is an ideal opportunity to see the plants themselves woven into seasonal displays throughout the garden, and will hopefully be a beautiful memento of Forde Abbey to take home with you.
Paul Bygrave manages the nursery, working for two days a week on the nursery is Paul Pudi, and together the nursery team will be on hand to offer friendly help and advice throughout the year. Our range will include a seasonally-ever-changing selection of herbaceous perennials and grasses, reliable garden stalwarts that we consider, first and foremost, to be good garden plants.
As we are a small nursery many plants are only produced in small numbers. Therefore, we often sell out of more popular lines; if you are seeking a particular plant please telephone a few days in advance of coming to check availability.
Forde Abbey Nursery is situated adjacent to the walled Kitchen Garden at Forde Abbey. You can visit the nursery, and adjoining gift shop, without having to purchase an admission ticket for the House or Garden.
